Punters are rallying behind Sydney Swan veteran Jude Bolton to win the Norm Smith medal with his price firming sensationally from $41 into $14.

“We’ve written an enormous amount of bets on Bolton to win the Norm Smith medal and the money just keeps coming for him,” Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said.

“Punters clearly spotted value at big odds and he is now their eighth pick.”

Hawthorn’s Sam Mitchell has also been extremely well backed into $5.50 favouritism after as much as $8 was available about him.

“One punter had $3000 on Mitchell at $7 and we’ve taken a stack of other four figure bets on him at $7 and plenty of $500 punters took the $8 at the start of the week,” Sullivan said.

Josh Kennedy is a $7 second favourite ahead of Lance Franklin, Luke Hodge and Brad Sewell all at $9.
