Sportingbet Australia punters have singled out Zydeco as their top selection to win Thursday’s Crown Oaks at Flemington, backing the Anthony Freedman trained filly from $2.60 into $2.40.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said it has been one way traffic for the Wakeful Stakes winner.
“Nine out of our ten biggest bets on the race so far have been for Zydeco and it’s as though punters think she’s the only runner in the race,” Sullivan said.
“Those that took the $26 a month ago would be laughing,” Sullivan said.
“We’ve taken a stack of $5,000 bets on her to win over the past few days,” Sullivan said.
Second favourite Dear Demi has drifted from $3.90 out to $4.00 while third pick Summerbliss is steady at $6.
