Melbourne travelled to Brookvale last week to take on rivals, Manly.
The Storm were behind the eight-ball from the start as Manly turned in one of, if not the best, performances of the year winning 28 – 8.
It put a halt to a run of four consecutive victories for the Storm and, as they return home to AAMI Park, were they’ve won all bar one of their games this year, they’ll be looking to put last week’s effort behind them with a strong performance here.
They face the Gold Coast Titans who surprised everyone with victory over the Sydney Roosters last week.
The Titans were without several players but through a combination of a committed effort and playing to keep their season alive, were able to post 28 – 22 win.
No team faces a worse run into the finals than the Titans whose last five matches of the season have been against teams above them on the ladder however, Gold Coast haven’t shirked the challenge and have won three of their last five.
Back in round 15, the Titans hosted the Storm and defeated them 18 – 12.
The last month has been a big ask of the Titans and their injury list is showing the full effect of the effort they’ve put in however, there is no respite for them here.
They’ll have to improve again and there’s no worse time to take on the Storm than after they are coming off a loss.
