Sportingbet Cox Plate contender Rekindled Interest has firmed from $31 into $23 at Sportingbet for next Saturday’s Group 1 Epsom Handicap at Randwick following significant support for the Jim Conlan trained six-year-old.
“They’ve been chipping away at him for the past week but one punter just went bang and had $1500 each way at the big odds,” Sportingbet Australia spokesman Andrew Brown said.
The punter stands to collect $58,125 should Rekindled Interest win.
Last week’s Cameron Handicap winner Toydini remains a solid $5.50 favourite, ahead of Boban at $6 and Streama at $8.
Rekindled Interest is a $41 chance at Sportingbet for the Sportingbet Cox Plate.
