Tomic beaten by Dodig in Memphis

Rising Australian star Bernard Tomic squandered two match points before being knocked out in the first round of the ATP event in Memphis by world No.58 Ivan Dodig.

Tomic, the eighth seed and world No.37, went down 5-7 6-4 7-6(10-8) as Croatian Dodig fired 19 aces and won 75 per cent of his service points.

Dodig trailed 7-8 in the final set tie-break before winning the last three points to take the match in just under three hours.
