Having had the international break to stew over their embarrassing 3-0 loss to West Ham, Nottingham Forest pulled the trigger and fired Nuno Espirito Santo for Ange Postecoglou.

The Aussie boss is in for a rough landing at the Emirates Stadium, especially when you consider Forest’s squad doesn’t exactly scream “Angeball” but they do have some players who might be primed for an uptick in form over the coming weeks.

But that’s more of a long term proposition and as many runs on the board as Postecoglou has, expecting a massive turnaround in three days is a bit too optimistic.

The Gunners have been hot and cold in attack this season, but this could well be a day where the likes of Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze further endear themselves to the Emirates Stadium crowd by helping themselves to a few goals against a team that is adjusting to a new manager’s system.
