Canberra forward Luke Bateman is facing a week on the sidelines for making dangerous contact on Newcastle’s Daniel Saifiti in Sunday’s shock NRL win.

Bateman was slapped with a grade one dangerous contact charge by the NRL match review committee on Monday for an incident with Saifiti in the 29-25 win.

Raiders hooker Kurt Baptiste was hit with a grade one dangerous throw on the Knights’ Nathan Ross but can escape suspension with an early guilty plea.
