NSW star Greg Bird has been slugged with a grade one dangerous contact charge by the NRL match review committee following his high shot on Wests Tigers’ Braith Anasta.
The Gold Coast back-rower won’t face suspension if he takes the early guilty plea for the incident in the Titans’ 36-6 home win on Sunday.
Should he contest the charge in front of the NRL judiciary on Wednesday and lose he would miss one game.
Cronulla veteran John Morris was charged with tripping Warriors centre Konrad Hurrell in the Sharks’ impressive victory in Auckland on Saturday but he will be free to face Newcastle this weekend.
