The Giant’s long and poor season is almost finished however, players and supporters will have to live through another big loss this weekend as Richmond look to bounce back from their recent loss to Carlton.
The bright news for the Giants is that forward Jeremy Cameron is in contention for this year’s Coleman medal for leading goal scoring.
He’s currently tied with Hawthorn’s Jarryd Roughead and West Coast’s Josh Kennedy on 60 goals.
Richmond had the opportunity last week to distance themselves from several teams vying for a position in the bottom half of the eight and, finish Carlton’s season however the Tigers fall 10 points short.
They’ll bounce back to form here and will need to do so in convincing style as Essendon await them in the final round of the season.
It’s the first time these two clubs have met and GWS will be given 67.5 start. The Giants have lost nine games this year by margins greater than this and should struggle to contain the Tigers to finish under this mark.
