Preview:
Adelaide’s loss to a resurgent Western Bulldogs outfit last week meant that the Crow’s season is now officially over.
The past five weeks has encapsulated the Crows season. In that time they’ve showed glimpses of their true ability with wins over Geelong and North but have fallen just short against Fremantle, Port and Bulldogs when they need to consolidate those wins
However, they’ll get some relief this week as they host Melbourne.
Unexpectedly, the Demons have beaten the Crows two of their past four encounters including a whopping 149 – 53 win in their 2011 clash.
Surely though the Demons, whose two wins for this season have come over GWS and Western Bulldogs and, who travelled to Perth last week to be handed a 95 point drumming by Fremantle, will not be able to make it three wins from five.
This is the Crows’ last game at home this year and they’ll be sure to go out with a bang and register a big win here and, although not generally a high scoring team – they’ve only surpassed 100 points three of the past eight weeks, they’ll still crack the line set of 56.5

Andy Otten signs new AFL deal with Crows
Adelaide utility Andy Otten has signed a two-year contract extension with the AFL club.
The Victorian-born Otten shunned interest from rival clubs in his native state to remain with the Crows, where he has played 67 AFL games.
Otten has returned to form this season after knee problems curtailed his output in past seasons following his standout 2009, when he was runner-up in the Rising Star award.
“Andy has been one of our most consistent players this season, he has played key roles at either end of the ground,” Adelaide’s list manager David Noble said in a statement on Thursday.
