Australia’s Jason Day is going into a four-man sudden-death playoff for the US PGA Tour event title at Torrey Pines in California.
Day shot a closing two-under-par 70 to be tied at nine-under with Americans JB Holmes (72), Harris English (72) and Scott Stallings (69).
Day will move to world No.4 if he prevails, usurping Adam Scott as the highest-ranked Australian.
