All Blacks wing Zac Guildford is set to play his first match since being banned after a drinking binge in November.

The 23-year-old has been named on the bench for the Crusaders’ Super Rugby match against the Highlanders on Saturday.

His inclusion, in place of Patrick Osborne, is the only change to the squad that edged out the Blues 19-18 on Friday.

Guildford was handed a four-match playing ban by the New Zealand Rugby Union after a booze-fuelled rampage while in the Cook Islands for a friend’s wedding.

He did not play in any of the Crusaders’ three pre-season matches or the win over the Blues.

Former Highlanders lock Tom Donnelly will face his old team for the first time after joining the Crusaders in the off-season.

“I know a lot of the Highlanders players well and I am familiar with the type of game they play. But you want to perform no matter which team you are up against,” Donnelly said.
