No changes for Hurricanes against Lions

Despite a first-up Super Rugby loss to the Stormers, Hurricanes coach Mark Hammett will field an unchanged line-up for Saturday’s match against the Lions in Johannesburg.

The inexperienced and often undermanned Hurricanes team were beaten 39-26 in Cape Town last Sunday in the first of three matches on the road, while the Lions edged the Cheetahs 27-25.

The Hurricanes travel to Perth for their third away match against the Western Force on March 9.

Hurricanes: Andre Taylor, Cory Jane, Conrad Smith (captain), Tim Bateman, Alapati Leiua, Beauden Barrett, Chris Eaton, Victor Vito, Jack Lam, Faifili Levave, Jason Eaton, Jeremy Thrush, Ben May, Dane Coles, Tristan Moran.

Reserves: Motu Matu’u, Jeffery Toomaga-Allen, James Broadhurst, Brad Shields, TJ Perenara, Daniel Kirkpatrick, Charlie Ngatai.
