Cronulla centre Ben Pomeroy has been found not guilty of a dangerous throw on Sydney Roosters fullback Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and is free to play in the Sharks clash with North Queensland on Sunday.
Pomeroy was charged by the NRL match review committee with a grade one dangerous throw on young gun Tuivasa-Sheck for a tackle in the 72nd minute of the Sharks’ shock 32-22 win over the Roosters on Monday night.
The Sharks opted to fight the charge at the NRL judiciary on Wednesday night and were successful.
Pomeroy will now take his place in the fifth-placed Cronulla side to play the in-form Cowboys who have won their last four matches and sit in eighth spot with two rounds to play before the final series.
Newcastle prop Kade Snowden, who was outed for seven weeks for a shoulder charge on Cowboys hooker Ray Thompson and Canterbury forward Frank Pritchard, who will miss two matches due to a shoulder charge on South Sydney centre Bryson Goodwin, remain the two players subject to suspensions from round 24 NRL action.
