A key NFC West battle looms large between the 6-3 Seahawks and a Rams side that has really fallen away of late.

The Rams have held the wood over their rivals with six wins from their last 10 meetings, but it’s tough to trust an offence that so far ranks 23rd in points scored.

At the same time, the Seahawks are arguably one of the toughest teams to get a read on.

In my opinion, Pete Carroll’s side is an average team disguised as a good one, as we saw last week when they survived yet another late scare against a very mediocre Washington team only two weeks removed from a similar scenario against Cleveland.

Moving the ball down field has proven a real challenge for Geno Smith and the offence, not to mention the fact the secondary has given up a number of big plays – like the one Dyami Brown late in the fourth quarter that put Washington ahead.

Looking at the line, clearly the bookies agree, so I’m going to play it conservative and back the Rams with some insurance.
