What a difference a star wide receiver can make to a young quarterback.

Deebo Samuel helped the Brock Purdy of old return last week in the blowout win against Jacksonville, while the defence also held its own end of the bargain giving up a lone field goal.

At 4-6, the Bucs are still somewhat in the playoff race, but they’ve really struggled against some of the top offences this year giving up over 20 points to the Eagles, Lions, Bills, and Texans.

I think last week’s win over the Titans was more a case of a well-coached team having a good read on rookie quarterback Will Levis, which certainly won’t be as easy this time against a Niners team that ranks third in offensive yards.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucs rally early and make a game of this on the back of some Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans magic, but ultimately, I expect San Francisco to win with a look ahead to Seattle next week.
