The best has been saved for last this week with the Chiefs and Eagles set to tango for the first time since Super Bowl LVII.

Philly returns from the bye at 8-2 after knocking off Dallas a fortnight ago in a late thriller, while the Chiefs are also rested coming off their win in Germany over the Dolphins.

Trends-wise, there hasn’t been a better team to back since 2018 after the bye than Kansas City. The Chiefs have posted a perfect 9-0 record following a week off, while the Eagles have been a little slower out of the blocks at 3-3.

We’re obviously talking about the two Super Bowl favourites here, but I think we’re yet to see anything truly convincing from either team through the first 10 weeks.

The Mahomes-Kelce connection hasn’t sparked just yet, while Jalen Hurts and the Eagles seem to be cruising along in third gear.

Kansas City playing at Arrowhead has to be factored in, but I also have some queries over Philly’s defence after allowing 31 points to the Commanders and 23 to the Cowboys in back-to-back weeks.

On the other side, the Chiefs have sneakily been one of the top defensive units in the league, currently allowing the fourth-fewest yards overall while holding opposing quarterbacks to a rating of just 82 per cent.

With all those numbers in mind, I feel confident backing the Chiefs to win this one.
