Riewoldt honoured by AFL milestone

Nick Riewoldt says he’s very flattered to become just the fifth St Kilda player to reach the 300-game AFL milestone this Saturday night against the Western Bulldogs.

The towering forward’s club has partnered with the Bulldogs to turn the match into a fundraiser for Maddie Riewoldt’s vision, a bone marrow failure charity named after the footballer’s sister, who died in February 2015.

“Maddie is the only thing that will be missing from Saturday night,” he said.

“We’re really fortunate that we are able to leverage this occasion to do something good.”

Riewoldt joins former teammates Robert Harvey, Nathan Burke amd Stewart Loewe in reaching the 300-game milestone for Saints, as well as 1966 premiership hero Barry Breen.
