AFL pay on the agenda with talks to resume

The AFL and the players’ union are set to resume pay discussions in the hopes of averting a preseason strike.

Talks between the two parties have stalled over the offseason, with the league resisting demands for a percentage of fixed revenue in the new collective bargaining agreement.

“We want to get things moving. Let’s get these talks going and hopefully we can get to a resolution as soon as possible,” AFLPA chief Paul Marsh said on Monday.
