Simon wins third Bucharest ATP title

Frenchman Gilles Simon won the ATP Romanian Open title for the third time on Sunday cantering to a 6-4 6-3 victory over unseeded Italian Fabio Fognini.

The 27-year-old top-seeded Frenchman, who came to Bucharest in top form having reached the Monte Carlo Masters semi-finals, previously won the trophy in 2007 and 2008.
