US Open champion Stan Wawrinka says there are no hard feelings with Nick Kyrgios and believes the controversial Australian will win “big tournaments” following his tennis ban.

Wawrinka expected world No.13 Kyrgios to emerge from a three-month suspension for his Shanghai Masters tanking a “very dangerous” player, especially at his home slam the Australian Open next month.

The world No.4 only had praise for Kyrgios who infamously sledged Wawrinka about his girlfriend last year, reportedly prompting a dressing room dust-up.

Asked whether there were any hard feelings, Wawrinka said on Thursday: “Not that I know of.”

Wawrinka has arrived for his Australian Open warm-up event, the Brisbane International, starting on Sunday.
