Melbourne teenager Jaimee Fourlis has justified her wildcard entry into the Australian Open women’s singles draw, defeating American Anna Tatishvili in straight sets.
The 17-year-old advanced to the second round on Monday when she downed Tatishvili 6-4 6-3 at Melbourne Park.
She will face Russian No.8 seed Svetlana Kuznetsova or Colombian Mariana Duque-Marino in the second round.
