Australian Daria Gavrilova has crashed out of the French Open in tears, retiring from her second-round match after dropping the first set 6-1 to Sabine Lisicki.
An ailing Gavrilova was on the back foot from the get-go, fighting off four break points before finally dropping serve after an epic 10-minute opening game.
The 21-year-old eventually called it quits after dropping the first set to the former Wimbledon finalist and 20th seed after 29 minutes.
