Aussie Sams into Open mixed doubles semis

Samantha Stosur and Sam Groth are planning a celebration beer after winning through to the semi-finals of the Australian Open mixed doubles.

The Australian veterans overcame fellow wildcards, former singles champion Martina Hingis, and her Indian partner Leander Paes on Thursday 6-3-6-2.

In the last four, they will face second seeds Sania Mirza of India and Croatian Ivan Dodig, with Stosur on track for her second title at Melbourne Park after winning in 2005 with Scott Draper.
