Western Sydney v Central Coast | Saturday, October 29, 7.50pm (AEDT), Spotless Stadium

Tony Popovic’s men surrendered a 2-0 lead against the Jets, dropping two points to come away with a draw. Despite the disappointing finish to the match, there are many positives to be taken out of the game.

Wanderers Japanese import Jumpei Kusukami (pictured above) continues to impress, with his quick feet and intelligent runs. If he can add goals to his game he will be a dangerous weapon for WSW.

Paul Okon’s Mariners reduced a much improved defensive display in their 1-0 loss to the Roar whilst also creating some good opportunities to score. However they were unable to capitalise and conceded a soft goal.

It won’t get any easier for the Mariners whose defence will again be tested against Western Sydney.

Central Coast like to build up from the back and have improved week on week but they may get caught out against a well organised and quick Wanderers frontline.

KEY BATTLE: Jumpei Kusukami v Michael Neill

Neill (pictured above) will have his work cut out against the tricky Japanese winger. Kusukami likes to run at players and will give young Neill a tough night.

The verdict

The Wanderers will want to make up for the dropped points last week and the Mariners will cop the backlash.
