Betting suggests that the most one-sided match of the round will take place in Melbourne on Saturday night and even though City are more than capable of bottling a match, prices are justifiable because the Newcastle Jets are just awful.
City were unable to take all three points away from Brisbane last week and while they quite clearly remain in the league’s top four sides, results that like one suggest that they will find it difficult at the pointy end of the competition.
Things are extremely dire in the Hunter right now and even at this point of the campaign, the end of the season cannot arrive quickly enough. It’s tough imagining them competing effectively for 90 minutes, away from home.
