Bolton to play again as Muamba recovers

Bolton will return to action in the English Premier League on Saturday, a week after midfielder Fabrice Muamba’s mid-game cardiac arrest.

While Tuesday’s match at Aston Villa was postponed, Bolton has decided to go ahead with Saturday’s fixture against Blackburn with Muamba recovering well in hospital.

Manager Owen Coyle returned to training with his team only on Wednesday after spending much of his time since Muamba collapsed at Tottenham on Saturday at the player’s bedside in a London hospital.

Coyle says “Fabrice’s father Marcel and his fiancee Shauna were keen that we fulfil our fixtures”.

Coyle also confirmed that the club wants to stay in the FA Cup and play its abandoned quarter-final against Tottenham.
