The defending champions are once again anchored to the bottom of the ladder which is a similar situation to last season.
Despite showing some promising signs, Adelaide United just haven’t been able to turn their good play into goals and wins.

It was good to see Sergio Guardiola get another goal because he could be the man to get the Reds out of this slump.
He has been impressive up front, with good hold up play and a work rate to match.
Brisbane were very effective in shutting down City last week, stopping Tim Cahill’s men from recording a single shot on target.
Most impressive was how the team worked as a unit to blunt Melbourne’s potent attack while launching many counter attacking raids which should have led to more goals and a bigger scoreline.
Tommy Oar (pictured above) has improved with every game which is a huge boost for John Aloisi’s men.
Combined with the good form of Jamie Maclaren and Brett Holman, the Roar are looking deadly up front.
KEY BATTLE: Tarek Elrich v Thomas Broich
Broich has been one of the standout performers in the last few A-league seasons.
The German possesses tremendous skill and despite signs he’s slowing down, he still has the experience to unlock defences.
Elrich has a knack of getting forward and scoring great goals but he’ll have to keep his eye on Broich in this one who could be the key for the Roar.
The verdict
Brisbane will miss Maclaren who is away on Socceroos duty while the Reds will be desperate to get their first win of the season.
This one will be evenly matched and end in a draw.
