Moore returns for Reds to face Waratahs

Wallabies captain Stephen Moore has been named to return for the Queensland Reds in Saturday’s crucial Super Rugby derby against the NSW Waratahs at Suncorp Stadium.

Rested for their win over South Africa’s Kings two weeks ago, Moore comes into the starting team to replace rookie Alex Mafi at hooker, but centre Samu Kerevi retains the captaincy.

The only other changes are to the bench where lock Izack Rodda, back-rower Leroy Houston and utility back Campbell Magnay replace Kane Douglas, Adam Korczyk and Chris Kuridrani.

Queensland Reds: Karmichael Hunt, Izaia Perese, Samu Kerevi (capt), Duncan Paia’aua, Eto Nabuli, Quade Cooper, James Tuttle, Scott Higginbotham, George Smith, Hendrik Tui, Lukhan Tui, Rob Simmons, Sam Talakai, Stephen Moore, Sef Fa’agase. Reserves: Alex Mafi, Kirwan Sanday, Taniela Tupou, Izack Rodda, Leroy Houston, Nick Frisby, Hamish Stewart, Campbell Magnay.
