Injured Vito out of All Blacks’ tour

Luckless flanker Victor Vito is heading home from the All Blacks’ tour after pulling a calf muscle in the scratchy win over Scotland.

Lock Dominic Bird, drafted in to the side after Brodie Retallick picked up a shoulder injury against England, has also been released from the squad to face Wales in Cardiff.

Meanwhile, centre Conrad Smith has rejoined the squad after returning to New Zealand to deal with a family matter.

Vito scored a stunning solo try early on in the 24-16 win at Murrayfield before being forced off prior to halftime.

He shrugged off one tackle and used his searing pace to hold other defenders at bay on a 45 metre run to the left corner.

Bird started the Test against Scotland before being replaced on 55 minutes by Luke Romano.
