Separated by 0.5 games on the standings, Southwest Division rivals, the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio Spurs will fight for supremacy at AT&T Center on Friday night.

The gap between these teams shortened after San Antonio fell 121-99 at Golden State (its largest loss of 2020-21) and Dallas won 124-112 at Indiana.

Luka Doncic recorded a triple-double during that win, while Kristaps Porzingis managed 27 points and 13 rebounds, both of which are season-highs.

Doncic was similarly effective against San Antonio last season, averaging 32.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 10.5 assists to lead Dallas to a 3-1 series win.

The Mavericks were without Josh Richardson, Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell on Wednesday and it remains unclear whether they’ll return.
