Wallace expected to be fit to face Raiders

Brisbane are confident halfback Peter Wallace will be fit to play in Friday’s NRL clash with Canberra despite missing training on Tuesday.

Wallace is battling a groin injury which forced him to quit training on Monday.

Ben Hunt trained at halfback on Tuesday but Wallace was set to be named in the team for Friday’s game at Suncorp Stadium, when Brisbane will seek to extend the season start which has them second only to Melbourne on the ladder with a 5-1 record.

Ben Te’o will also be named on the bench again as Brisbane prepare to contest the grade three dangerous contact charge which will see him banned for four matches if they’re unsuccessful at the judiciary on Wednesday night.
