Taylor set to rejoin Roosters: report

Sydney Roosters assistant Justin Holbrook has reportedly signed a three-year deal to coach Super League side St Helens, sparking talk of a return to the NRL club for Jason Taylor.

The Seven Network reported on Wednesday night that Holbrook, who is also coach of the Junior Kangaroos, would take over at St Helens for the remainder of the season in the UK.

Taylor, who was sacked as head coach of the Wests Tigers in March, is reportedly in line to reunite with Trent Robinson at the Bondi Junction club.

Coach Robinson and assistant Taylor steered the Roosters to the 2013 premiership.

Holbrook, who was appointed as Taylor’s replacement at the Roosters in 2014, is in Canberra for the Junior Kangaroos clash with the Junior Kiwis on Friday.
