Tamworth will host next year’s NSW City v Country rugby league match.
NSWRL chief executive David Trodden on Tuesday announced Tamworth’s Scully Park as the venue for the annual representative match, which sold out in Wagga Wagga this year.
“The North West (of NSW) has produced many fantastic footballers over the years and hopefully this match will inspire the next generation of young rugby league players to fulfil their sporting dreams,” he said.
Parts of the park precinct have recently undergone a $2.8 million development and will be reopened to the public on Saturday.
