Snake sparks spritely sprint from SBW

What do you get when you put a Kiwi and a snake in the same room?

Sonny Bill Williams at his fleet-footed best.

The dual international superstar showed an impressive turn of speed on Sunday night after a snake was discovered inside the New Zealand Rugby League World Cup squad’s training base at Narrabeen on Sydney’s northern beaches.

An underwear-clad Williams was caught on camera bouncing off a massage table when the metre-long reptile was scooped up by his Sydney Roosters teammate Frank Paul Nuuausala and pointed in his direction.

Williams ran over to a group of his fellow Kiwis who were just as scared – one even hiding behind a chair.

Frank Pritchard and Alex Glenn, who posted the video of Williams on Instagram, led a chorus of laughter as Williams dashed across the room.

The Kiwis fly to the UK this week to defend the Rugby League World Cup.
