Luke Lewis will extend his NRL career to an 18th season, signing a one-year deal to remain at Cronulla.
Lewis, 33, has long expressed his desire to play on in 2018 and had shown signs of his best football in recent weeks, despite his age.
“The body feels good; I’m enjoying my footy at the moment, which is the most important thing and I enjoy the boys we’ve got here,” Lewis said.
