Coach Anthony Seibold says he is counting on Alex Glenn’s NRL experience to guide a young Brisbane pack, denying reports the Broncos are shopping the veteran back-rower around.

Seibold said he approached Glenn as soon as the rumours emerged this week to assure the former New Zealand international that he was needed more than ever, especially as a role model for young forwards including David Fifita and Jaydn Su’A.

“It (speculation) was a strange one for me. I don’t want him to go anywhere. He is an integral part of our leadership group,” Seibold said.
