Sam Burgess suffers possible neck injury

South Sydney star Sam Burgess has suffered a possible neck injury in the Rabbitohs’ round three NRL clash with St George Illawarra at the SCG on Sunday.

Burgess went down in the 58th minute of the match, with the Dragons leading 8-6, in a legal tackle by Mike Cooper.

The dual international lay prone on the turf at the southern end of the ground for several minutes as he was treated by medical personnel.
