New Zealand Warriors vs Canterbury Bulldogs 2013 NRL Round 9 preview and tips

Despite having only registered two wins this season, including a narrow victory of the Gold Coast Titans last week by one point, fancy the Warriors are travelling better than their record indicates.

In the past month they have lost narrowly to South Sydney (24-22) and two weeks back, led the Melbourne Storm well into the second half before the letting in two late tries and going down by ten points (28-18).

The Warriors also hold a record of two wins from three encounters between the two sides over the past three years however, they we’ll need to produce their best as they host a Dogs outfit that, after a slow start to the season, appear to gaining momentum and are coming off two very good wins.

After facing the Storm, Rabbitohs, Sea Eagles and Roosters in consecutive weeks, the Dogs registered a much needed win over the Sharks two weeks back before easily accounting for the West Tigers last week 40-4.

The Dogs welcomed back key forwards Graham and Kasiano in last week’s match and the impact the pair had was immediate.

The Canterbury halves looked far more comfortably behind a pack that was able to dominate and produced seven tries accordingly.

Canterbury will be keen to keep the momentum up but face a much tougher task here then they have in their past two weeks and this will be a competitive clash.
