Guerra out to repay Qld Origin faith

Queensland back-rower Aidan Guerra says he needs to repay the faith of loyal Maroons selectors in the State of Origin series opener on June 1.

Sydney Roosters forward Guerra was considered fortunate along with out-of-sorts Manly prop Nate Myles to retain their spots in the Queensland side, with form Warriors forward Jacob Lillyman the only incumbent cut for the series.

“I felt a vote of confidence from the selectors – I am looking forward to repaying that,” Guerra told AAP.

“I haven’t exactly been where I want to be. I look forward to going out and showing what I can do.”
