North Queensland are preparing for a huge boost ahead of Saturday’s NRL final against Brisbane with injured five-eighth Michael Morgan in line for a return to action.

The Queensland State of Origin player has been out since spraining an ankle in the round 24 win over the Warriors but is set to be named by coach Paul Green later on Tuesday for the Suncorp Stadium clash with the Broncos.

Back-rower Jason Taumalolo says the addition of Morgan’s running game would add an extra dimension for the Cowboys as they aim to upset their local rivals.
