Coote re-signs in new Cowboys NRL deal

Lachlan Coote will remain with North Queensland until at least the end of 2018 after signing a two-year NRL contract extension.

Coote, who reportedly knocked back a higher and longer offer from the Roosters, has scored eight tries in 33 matches at the club since moving from Penrith at the end of 2014.

“I’m extremely pleased to remain a Cowboy,” the fullback said. “I’ve had a memorable time here so far; we won the premiership last year; and I just love playing with these boys.”
