The high-flying Brisbane Broncos will be out to continue their impressive start to 2025 when they face off against the Sydney Roosters for the second time already this season.

Their Round 1 meeting saw the Broncos put the competition on notice with a 50-14 victory, and since then it’s mostly been more of the same, with last week seeing them use a 32-12 second half to crush the Tigers.

The Roosters responded following Round 1 with a massive upset against the Panthers, but since then it’s been three straight defeats, leaving them 16th on the ladder.

Sydney has axed veteran Chad Townsend in favour of young halfback Hugo Savala for his first career start, while Lindsay Collins has been ruled out for six weeks, with Nat Butcher shifting to prop and Victor Radley returning from injury at lock.

For the Broncos, Jaiyden Hunt moves into the starting lineup for the suspended Brendan Piakura.
