The initial practice report to come out of Miami does not paint a good picture for the Miami Dolphins, with Tua Tagovailoa missing time with hip and thumb injuries.
Ignoring his previous history with hip injuries, the guy has not had the best start to the season despite a solid albeit unimpressive stat line.
That might act as the equaliser when it comes to facing this decimated Chargers team, who will head into this game without either top running back, both starting offensive tackles and a litany of other injuries that have brought their season crashing back to earth.
After a 3-0 start, they have lost to the Giants and Commanders in the last two weeks, scoring a combined 28 points.
But right now if one of these teams will get the benefit of the doubt to turn things around, I like the Chargers even if its going to be an ugly game all around.
If Tuas injury is worse than expected, then it might be worth thinking about taking LA by 14+ but for now, the 1-13 margin is good enough for me.
