Holden driver James Courtney will miss next month’s Sandown 500 V8 Supercars endurance race.
The 2010 V8s champion suffered broken ribs and a pneumothorax after being hit by pit equipment blown lose by a low-flying helicopter during an on-track demonstration.
Courtney has told AAP he’s no chance of racing at Sandown, with Holden Racing Team scrambling to find a replacement driver, but still holds hope of competing at the Bathurst 1000.
