Winx has set a benchmark for winning streaks in Australian racing with a first-up victory at Randwick.

The world’s best racehorse overtook unbeaten Black Caviar in extending her sequence to 26 wins in the race named in her honour – the Winx Stakes.

In posting her 19th Group One win, Winx defeated Invictus Prince and D’Argento as trainer Chris Waller sets his sights on winning a fourth Cox Plate with the champion racemare.
