Winterbottom Stakes 2016: Terravista’s odds shorten

Since the barrier draw on Tuesday night punters want only one horse when it comes to the feature at Ascot this Saturday, the G1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m).

The Joe Pride trained Terravista, who resumed with an unlucky second to Redzel down the straight on Oaks Day during Cup Week, opened the $3.60 second pick but has firmed to be the equal favourite now at $3.50, joining last start Darley Classic winner Malaguerra ($3.40-$3.50).

The early noted drifter is the potential local star that is State Solicitor, who has been $10 out from $8.50. The other little firmer is another Eastern stater but a former Perth sprinter, Sheidel, who opened $12 but has trimmed to $11.
