Focus returns to Warwick Farm in Sydney’s west on Wednesday, and seven races are on the program.
The rail will be set out three metres around the entire course and at publish, we’re faced with a track rated in the Heavy (8) range.

Race 1 – 2:20pm – XXXX Handicap (1000m)
There’s virtually no form to study ahead of the first at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, and with the track likely to be rated in the Heavy range when this contest jumps, there is simply too much that could happen for me to have any real confidence.
I am happy to stay out of this one from a betting perspective.
Race 2 – 2:55pm – Drinkwise Plate (1200m)
Auzstar has stripped fitter for three starts back this time and is ready to win at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding finished fourth, beaten just over two lengths at Gosford when fresh, improving steadily.
He takes his place in this field following a credible third placing in maiden company, he’s drawn well and will be piloted by Hugh Bowman.
Race 3 – 3:30pm – Ranvet Handicap (2130m)
I’m happy to give Zudin the chance to bounce back into the winner’s stall at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
Zudin the well-bred gelding did mix his form a little earlier in his prep and it is fair to say that he took a while to get going, but he charged in to score an impressive win in BM72 company at Canterbury two starts back.
He wasn’t disgraced in a better Saturday race at Rosehill last time, and he will relish the drop in class this week.
Race 4 – 4:05pm – 1st Justify Yearlings Handicap (1600m)
This’llbetheone faces a rise in class at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, but he also puts an unbeaten record on the line, and he can continue his journey through the grades.
The showed some ability at the trials prior to debuting and stamped himself as a galloper to follow with a smart win at Kembla Grange in early November.
He franked that performance with an eye-catching win, this time in BM64 company at Hawkesbury.
Fitter third-up and under James McDonald, he’ll take beating.
Race 5 – 4:40pm – Harry Angel @ Darley Handicap (1100m)
There are a few winning chances in engaged in Race 5 at Warwick Farm on Wednesday, including Tillotson.
Tillotson returned to the races with a far effort to finish third over 1000m at Hawkesbury, and took big improvement into her second-up appearance and win at Canterbury.
She will need some luck in running after drawing wide, but I think the small step up in trip will help, and Hugh Bowman has elected to stay aboard.
Race 6 – 5:15pm – Vinery Handicap (1100m)
This looks to be a drop in class for Ocean Emperor, and he can return to winning form.
The Written Tycoon gelding is yet to salute in four starts back this time, but he has raced well around some talented gallopers, and he was only just denied in BM68 company here two back.
He was well beaten by the likes of Smirnova and Tiny in a tougher race last time, but he is a previous winner on a rain-affected track, and I think that this looks an ideal target for him.
Race 7 – 5:50pm – Benchmark 64 Handicap (1300m)
This is a tough way to end the day from a betting perspective, but I think that Mihocek will take good improvement from a fair first-up effort at Rosehill, and with even luck, he can fight out the finish.
The Sooboog gelding was a consistent performer during his debut prep, and he kept his best work for late when fourth in BM68 company a couple of weeks ago.
The rise in trip should suit and I am happy to have something on.
