Race 1 – 1:45pm – Ranvet Plate (1100m)

Mission Value filled the minors in the Inglis Nursery on debut, and he can break his maiden first-up at Randwick-Kensington this week.

The Capitalist colt showed promise at the trials prior to debuting, and his first performance was great.

He has had the benefit of a couple of trials in the lead-up to his return and on exposed form, he’s the one I want to be with.

Race 2 – 2:20pm – Schweppes Plate (1400m)

The well-bred Naval Seal on just missed on debut at Newcastle a couple of weeks ago, and he can break his maiden at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday.

By Snitzel and out of First Seal, the three-year-old had several trials prior to debuting, and he was unlucky not to score immediately.

He’ll only improve for that experience and can begin his rise through the grades this week.

Race 3 – 2:55pm – Maiden Handicap (1550m)

There is a case to be made for a few in Race 3 at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday, including Ruinart.

Ruinart is five-start maiden, but she has missed a placing only once, and she has raced well around some gallopers who have since franked the form.

She steps out this week in peak order and might not be offered a better opportunity to strike in town.

Race 4 – 3:30pm – Hyland Race Colours Handicap (1550m)

Azarmin relishes racing on a wet track and will take winning form into fourth the fourth at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday.

The Animal Kingdom mare returned from a break for third, beaten two lengths by This Is So at Newcastle last month, and she proved too strong over this trip at Canterbury last time out.

Fitter third-up and from barrier 4, I can’t find a reason why she won’t be in the finish.

Bet Now: Kensington Race 4

Race 5 – 4:05pm – Impending @ Darley Handicap (1400m)

I’m going to stick with Bullfinch second-up this week.

Bullfinch returned some competitive efforts during his debut Australian prep in the early spring, and he typically contested tougher races than this one.

He was well beaten, but he did keep his best work for late in BM78 company at Rosehill when resuming this time, and I am expecting big improvement into this easier race.

The booking of James McDonald also doesn’t hurt his chances.

Race 6 – 4:40pm – Precise Air Handicap (1800m)

Main Stage looks to have found some good form this time, and I’m happy to stick with him at the midweeks.

The Reliable Man gelding has returned many good efforts throughout his career and was particularly noteworthy during his three-year-old season.

While those day probably are behind him, he wound back the clock with a dominant performance and win here last month, and I can’t find a reason why he won’t be able to replicate that effort.

Race 7 – 5:15pm – Vinery Yearlings Handicap (1100m)

Fleet Air Arm can return to winning form in the penultimate race.

The Rich Enuff gelding stamped himself as a galloper to follow when recording two wins from as many starts during his debut prep.

He returned from a long break for another impressive win at Newcastle, and he suffered his first defeat in a harder race on Newcastle Newmarket Day.

Fitter third-up, from a good draw and under Hugh Bowman, I am more than happy to give him another chance.

Race 8 – 5:50pm – Be A Mate, Nominate Handicap (1100m)

Arranmore can win the last at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday.

The Astern filly hasn’t finished worse than second in four career starts to date, winning on the main track here most notably.

She returned from a break with a nice effort to finish second in BM72 at Canterbury and can go one better in this contest.
