Magic Millions Guineas – Winner
Chrysaor needed his first run back from a break when finishing half a length second behind Cifrado in the Vo Rogue Plate, but I am confident that hit-out will have topped him off nicely for the Magic Millions Guineas.
The Better Than Ready colt mixed his form a little during his 2023 campaign, but produced a career-best performance to win the Group 2 Callander-Presnell in October before being freshened.
The penny really does appear to have dropped, and he’s drawn to receive a lovely run under James McDonald.

Magic Millions Guineas – 2nd
Cifrado was a good horse to be during his winter prep last year, and he too rates as a key winning chance in the 2024 Magic Millions Guineas.
The Encryption gelding broke his maiden at Ipswich first-up in April and continued to improve with racing and as trainer Rex Lipp lifted the bar, culminating in consecutive wins in Group 2 company.
His first couple of runs back this time left a little to the imagination, but he stormed back into the winner’s stall in the Vo Rogue Plate at his latest, and he takes his place this weekend in peak order.

Magic Millions Guineas – 3rd
It’s a substantial rise in class, but Sydney Bowler puts an unbeaten record on the line in the Magic Millions Guineas, and that is tough to argue with.
Sydney Bowler showed some promise at the trials prior to debuting and stamped himself as one to watch with a dominant two-length win on debut at Newcastle early last month.
Since then, he’s won in BM64 company at the provincials and BM72 company at Randwick, and he’s still open to improvement.
He’ll need plenty of luck in running after drawing barrier 17, but he does look to have the required ability.

Magic Millions Guineas – 4th
One horse at a huge price in 2024 Magic Millions Guineas betting ($31 at publish) that I do believe rates as a genuine each way chance is Zouphoria.
Zouphoria broke her maiden with complete ease at Randwick-Kensington back in December before repeating the dose in a far stronger BM78 contest on the main course at Randwick.
She took up the running and was ultimately swamped late when fifth in the Vo Rogue Plate at her latest, but she gets Timmy Clark back into the saddle this week, who I believe to be the best front-running jockey in the country.
If she can find the lead and pinch a couple of cheap sectionals, I can see her being in it for a long way.
